From July to December 2026, Ireland will assume the role of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the eighth time. The Presidency rotates among member states every six months, ensuring cooperation and consistency throughout the European Union.
Throughout the six months, 20 or more informal ministerial meetings and over over 200 major events will be held across Ireland, many of these meeting will take place in Dublin city centre.
